However, in spite of the ban, he returned home a couple of days later and his partner called the police. The man was arrested and accused of obstructing the execution of an official decision. He was released in two days, but he was categorically banned from approaching the home. However, shortly afterwards the man came home and murdered his girl-friend. A foreigner and border police patrol detained him in south Moravia close to the Czech-Austrian border when he probably intended to cross the border illegally. The Syrian is one of the 665 persons who have been expelled from home over domestic violence in the Czech Republic since January when the new law enabling the police to expel a violent partner from home for 10 days took effect.
