He said he wants to submit the bills to the government next May and to parliament next June so that they take effect as from January 2009. Julinek's deputy Pavel Hrobon said those who will not want to change anything as from January 2009 may continue according to the hitherto practice. The bills that Julinek says will fundamentally change the health care system, comprise the providing of health care, public health insurance and university hospitals into which he wants to transform the current teaching hospitals. Czech ruling coalition plans government reshuffle -- press ... for the first time sets deadlines for the treatments and lists the places where the treatment must be provided. Responsibility for the availability of care will rest with health insurance companies.
They will also enjoy more powers to move money and thus also patients to the facilities that provide higher-quality care for a reasonable price, Hrobon said.
