Harper recalls this year's 40th anniversary of the Prague Spring reform movement and the fact that "Canada opened its doors to thousands of Czechs fleeing totalitarianism in search of freedom" in 1968. On February 27, Topolanek is to meet U.S. President George Bush. Topolanek and Bush are to discuss the planned U.S. radar base on Czech soil. Topolanek is to sign a Czech-U.S. memorandum allowing for the introduction of visa-free relations.
