However, Deputy Local Development Minister Jiri Vackar rejected earlier the media reports that Cunek was managing the ministry even though he did not hold the ministerial post. Vackar was a formal head of the ministry from November when Cunek left the post on corruption allegations. However, the idea was seriously opposed by the Greens and Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg in particular, who said he would resign if Cunek returned.
