A court case against Deutsche Telekom resumes on Monday concerning its controversial third share offer on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2000.
Former Telekom chairman, Ron Sommer, is scheduled to testify to the Frankfurt/Main high court. About 16,000 shareholders are claiming millions of euros in compensation from the telcommunications company. The plaintiffs claim that the company inflated the worth of its real estate holdings and misled potential shareholders. Deutsche Telekom had denied any wrongdoing and said the case would clear the company of any suspicion.
