Israeli forces have killed 17 Palestinians, most of them civilians, in the Gaza strip.
A Reuters cameraman was among those killed when his vehicle was hit by an Israeli rocket. An AFP photographer driving behind the vehicle said it had been clearly labelled with TV and press stickers. The Israeli military said it was looking into the incident. The journalists had been covering an air raid in the Al-Bureij refugee camp in southern Gaza, in which at least eight Palestinian civilians were killed. Earlier on Wednesday three Israeli soldiers and four Hamas militants were killed during an Israeli incursion targeting rocket launching sites for attacks on Israel.
