German prosecutors are investigating 270 suspects as the Siemens corruption probe takes on an international dimension.
That is according to a press report to appear in the Sueddeutsche Zeitung on Monday. The paper added that the investigation, which was originally limited to Siemens' telecommunications section and subsequently extended to its electronics distribution arm, now extends to its transport and energy divisions. The German engineering company allegedly set up slush funds in Switzerland, Dubai and other financial havens in order to secure large foreign contracts.
