Germany's airports hit by strike ... A bomb on a bus near Sri Lanka's capital Colombo has killed at least 24 people.
Police say 50 others were wounded. Nobody has claimed responsibility, but the authorities have blamed the rebel group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. The blast follows battles in Sri Lanka's north between Tamil Tiger rebels and government security forces with loss of life reported to be heavy on both sides. The Tamil Tigers, who have been fighting for independence in the island's north-east since 1972, have been blamed for similar attacks in the past. They are listed as a terror group by the United States, the European Union and India.
