Chinese state media is reporting that a train accident in the country's east has killed at least 66 people and injured another 247, 51 of them seriously.
The Xinhua news agency reported that a train travelling from Beijing derailed and hit another train shortly before dawn in Shandong province. News photos showed the derailed train laying at the bottom of a ditch, with rescuers removing passengers from a carriage that had fallen onto its side.
