Former Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif says all the senior judges sacked by President Pervez Musharraf last year will be reinstated on 12 May.
The announcement comes as Pakistani coalition partners returned from two days of talks held in Dubai. Restoring the judges has been a top priority of the two main parties in the government, who won February elections on an anti-Musharraf platform and restored civilian rule to Pakistan.
