At least eight people are reported to have been killed on the west coast of South Korea after they were swept away by high waves.
Twelve others were rescued after storms and high winds hit the Yellow Sea port of Boryeong Namdo, about 185 km (115 miles) south west of Seoul.
They were taken to hospital, where five are in a critical condition, a coast guard official told Reuters.
