The death toll from a cyclone that struck Burma on Saturday is expected to rise even further.
Burmese state radio has reported that almost 4,000 people died as a result of the storm. But the country's ruling military junta now believes more than 10,000 may have been killed. That's according to Asian diplomats who attended a briefing by Burmese Foreign Minister Nyan Win in Rangoon. The junta has also urgently appealed for foreign aid to help hundreds of thousands of people who have been left without shelter and drinking water.
