The soldier's arm was hit by shrapnels from a rocket that fell down near the entrance to the international military base at the Basra airport, guarded by the Czechs. He was operated on in the British field hospital.
His life is not endangered. The soldier will be transferred to the Czech Republic as soon as possible. The so far last rocket attack affecting Czech troops in Basra occurred in January, when two Czechs were wounded.
