Unidentified gunmen have killed at least four people and injured 20 others during a funeral procession in the Lebanese capital Beirut. The procession was for a Sunni Muslim man killed in clashes that have rocked Beirut over the past four days.
On Friday, Hezbollah fighters seized control of the western part Beirut and several offices of pro-government factions. The Western-backed government has denounced the seizure as a coup aimed at increasing the influence of Syria and Iran in the country. The latest unrest was triggered by the government's decision to probe Hezbollah's private communications network. Fighting escalated after Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah called the move a declaration of war. At least 20 people have been killed and dozens wounded in the clashes.
