Bolivia's President Evo Morales has signed a bill calling for a nationwide referendum on his government on the 10th of August.
The poll will also decide the fate of nine regional governors. Morales first proposed the bill four months ago as a means of bringing to a head a power struggle with the opposition. Many of Morales' proposed reforms, including changes to the country's constitution, aim to benefit Bolivia's long-oppressed indigenous population.
