Czech PM calls for return to dignity, for "uniting" election ... former Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif's party have tendered their resignation over a dispute about the reinstatement of judges sacked by President Pervez Musharraf under emergency rule last year.
State television reported that ministers from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz faction submitted their resignations to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad. On Monday, Sharif announced his party would withdraw from the cabinet after the coalition missed a deadline to reinstate the judges. Analysts say the move could threaten the six-week-old government although Sharif insists his party will continue to support Gilani's government.
