Court slows Bolivian reform ... Visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the EU was willing to make the path easier on trade. She did not respond to verbal attacks made earlier this week by Venezuela's left-wing nationalist president Hugo Chavez. He is also embroiled in a row with neighbouring Colombia.
