An aftershock has shaken what's become known as a "quake-lake in China's Sichuan province, sending landslides tumbling down surrounding mountains.
The official Xinhua news agency quoted a local official who said a dam that has been threatening to collapse in recent days appeared to be holding. Soldiers have dug a diversion trench to help drain the lake, which is threatening to flood an area inhabited by around a million people. The lake was created by a landslide that was caused by the May 12 earthquake that killed almost 70,000 people.
