US President George W.
Bush, who's on what's probably his final tour of Europe before leaving office, has arrived in Germany. He's to have talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel on Iran's nuclear programme, climate protection and the surge in oil prices. Bush arrived in Berlin from Slovenia where he attended a US-European Union summit. He and European leaders warned Iran that they would add new measures to United Nations sanctions if Iran does not abandoned its nuclear ambitions. Iran has repeatedly said its programme is for electricity generation only, not weapons. A spokesman for Merkel, who hosted a Group of Eight summit last year, said she would press Bush for action on climate protection ahead of another G8 France deports genocide suspect ...
