Her departure comes one day after she was released from jail pending trial on corruption charges. Hasina has been suffering from an eye problem, high blood pressure as well as a hearing impairment caused by grenade blasts at a rally four years ago. The military-backed interim government arrested her last July but has granted her eight weeks parole for treatment in the US.
