US deplores Cuba protest move ... in favour of the foreign detainees who had challenged their years-long detention at Guantanamo Bay. The court found that even though the base was technically on Cuban territory, it was in fact operating as if it were on US soil and therefore the detainees had the same constitutional rights as all Americans.
