Czech Young Communists say their abolition is attack on KSCM ... were undecided on the issue. The poll showed that 28 percent Czechs believe that death penalty "should definitely exist" and 34 percent say "it should probably exist." Eleven percent of those polled said resolute no to death penalty, while 21 percent responded the question with a soft no. More than a half of Czechs approved of the capital punishment in the past year, but the number of its opponents has been growing - from 13 percent in 1992 to this year's 32 percent. From the statistical points of view, supporters of the opposition Communist party (KSCM) favour the death penalty idea most of all.
A total of 45 percent of them said in their opinion death penalty "should definitely exist." Death penalty was also relatively often supported by the people who did not take part in the general election at all (38 percent), and those who described their living standard as low (37 percent).
