Four prisoners executed in Japan ... countries. Japan's Kyodo news agency reported that Tokyo would lift certain travel restrictions after Pyongyang agreed to re-examine the fate of Japanese citizens abducted by North Korean agents.
Delegates from the two countries ended two days of talks on Thursday that focused in part on the plight of the kidnapped Japanese. The communist regime admitted in 2002 to kidnapping 13 Japanese in the 1970s and 1980s to train its spies in Japanese language and culture. It returned five victims and their families, however Japan insists a number of other survivors continues to be held.
