IMF backs shift in voting power ... ballots at nearly 200 polling stations where votes were discounted two weeks ago in general elections due to violence and irregularities. The results of these stations will not affect the overall result of the June 1 election, which conservative Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski won convincingly. However, they will influence which of the two rival ethnic Albanian parties can join a coalition government. The vote is being closely followed by the European Union, which Macedonia is seeking to join.
