The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral ties as well as Ireland's recent rejection of the European Union reform treaty. Relations have been strained by plans for a controversial museum in Berlin dedicated to Germans expelled from Polish territory after the Second World War. The Polish government agrees that the museum should proceed, but is opposed to the appointment of certain personalities to the institution's board.
