She said she hoped the step would help calm down the tense situation Two Green MPs against their party member in Chamber leadership ...
World grain supply stagnant ... and disputes in the group.
Greens' deputies Olga Zubova and Vera Jakubkova have threatened to leave the six-member group in the past days. Jacques' post will be sought by deputy Premysl Rabas. Disputes among the Greens have lasted for a long time. Zubova and Jakubkova complain that the leadership of the group does not communicate with them. Jacques said earlier the communication with Jakubkova and Zubova was difficult due to their frequent absence from the group's meetings. This was called nonsense by them. Last week, the disputes came to a head when assistants of Jakubkova and Zubova were barred access to some deputies' offices. Jacques said the doors had been blocked for fears of breach of privacy. "Neither Olga (Zubova), nor me have called for her departure. We see the problems elsewhere," Jakubkova told CTK after Jacques had announced her resignation, in a veiled reference to their conflict with party leader Martin Bursik. Jakubkova said she was sorry she had only learnt about the step from the media. Jakubkova and Zubova have called a press conference for Tuesday to announce their further steps.
