Meanwhile a fragile truce entered its second day in the Gaza Strip on Friday amid scepticism over how long the Egyptian-brokered deal between Israel and the Hamas movement would hold. Israel has emphasised that if the ceasefire lasts it will gradually relax its blockade of the Hamas-controlled territory from Sunday.
