0902: Putting 'what not to wear' aside for a moment, you may have noticed that Andy Murray got his Wimbledon campaign off to a winning start against Fabrice Santoro on Tuesday. Here's what John McEnroe thought: "Andy played really well but I just think he goes into his bag of tricks a bit too often with his drop shots. I think he's got a great touch and it can be effective but there are times when he overdoes it. People have said that before, but he stubbornly continues to use it."
Pundits on Murray
0855: The last word on the fashion wars goes to the soaraway Sun newspaper, which has taken the unusual step of printing a highly visible apology. Admittedly across a close-up of Sharapova's thigh. "Shara's shorts: An Apology. Yesterday we may have suggested Maria's shorts weren't sexy. WE WERE WRONG."
0848: You've got to love the way girls can pretend to be polite about each other while actually doing exactly the opposite. Sharapova on fashion rival Serena's white trenchcoat: "I didn't see Serena's raincoat. It's hard to do different things in white." Ouch.
0843: Four young whippersnappers are currently giving the Centre Court royal box a good going over in front of me. One of them is polishing the hand rails. I imagine there's all sorts in there after a long day yesterday - crisp packets, chewing gum under the seats, fag ends, a lost umbrella.
0840: Rain or shine, there's every chance Serena will be sticking with her trenchcoat for the pre-match warm-up. "It's a very lightweight fabric," she said on Monday. "It's a woven so it has a little give in it as well. On the inside it's stitched with gold. It has a little give on both ways. It's very movable. It's very light. It's just delectable." This is why we love Serena.
0835: A disturbing sight - BBC Breakfast weather lady Carol Kirkwood is wearing her own pullover today as it is in fact blowing a gale and a bit overcast at the All England Club. However the official Wimbledon weather forecast says: "Cloud will thicken during the morning to give a 10% risk of a light shower around midday. The cloud will then break through the afternoon leading to a sunny end to the day. Maximum temperatures reching 23 Celsius."
0830: So to the issue of week so far - cardiegate. Will Roger recover from the critical mauling he received on unveiling his 'classic' cardigan on Monday and give the chunky knitwear another outing this afternoon? He at least has support from fashion fan Maria Sharapova. "I saw Federer's cardigan. I thought that was classic. It was beautiful," said the tuxedo-wearing Russian star.
0825: Morning all, it's another bright and blustery one in south west London and we are ready for a third consecutive full day's play. Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Ana Ivanovic, Serena Williams, Elena Baltacha.... we're too good to you.
- We'll be here throughout the day to bring you the latest news from around the All England Club, both on the courts and off, so whether you're settling down at home, stuck in the office or queuing on Church Road, send us your thoughts.
