Shortly before the vote was taken, Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek provided some information about the situation shortly before the treaties on the base were to be signed.
Topolanek said the Chamber of Deputies today did not have time to debate the issue.
The opposition said Topolanek's explanation was absolutely insufficient.
The left was likely to press ahead with the resolution in which the Chamber of Deputies would call on the cabinet to suspend the talks with the USA.
