Czech MEPs have different views about Lisbon treaty outlooks ... changed the verdict of the Prague City Court that recognised Tlusty's right to compensation but not the right to an apology.
The court today stated that Tlusty deserved an apology because Hybaskova violated his personal rights.
Hybaskova said before the local and regional elections last year that she was approached by an unnamed person who proposed that the party gave up 3 millions out of a 15-million-crown state subsidy it is entitled to for the seats in the Prague City Assembly gained in 2002 as the condition for receiving the subsidy.
The money was allegedly go to the people close to the ODS.
The mediator allegedly asked the party to provide a commission for Tlusty, Justice Minister Jiri Pospisil (ODS) and an ODS deputy.
Tlusty demanded that Hybaskova pay one million crowns in compensation for her defamatory statement according to which he allegedly received one million crowns in bribe.
However, the first-level court stated that Hybaskova never pronounced the precise accusation concerning Tlusty.
Hybaskova admitted that Tlusty could feel harmed by her statement that she said was based on imprecise information.
However, she said she only wanted to point to corruption and not to harm Tlusty.
Earlier, she apologised to Pospisil and said she was mistaken when she gave specific names.
