governors want new climate policy -- Czech deputy PM ... The United Nations has called on African leaders meeting in the Egyptian resort of Sharm-el-Sheikh to seek a negotiated settlement to resolve the current crisis in Zimbabwe. UN Deputy Secretary-General Asha-Rose Migiro described the African Union conference as a moment of truth. South Africa has urged President Robert Mugabe, who is attending the talks, to open a dialogue with the opposition Movement for Democratic Change. Monitors from two different African groups have denounced Friday's election, in which Mugabe won a sixth term in office, saying they were neither free nor fair and didn't represent the will of the Zimbabwean people.
