Rioters have set fire to the headquarters of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party after it claimed victory in Sunday's election. It is unclear whether Prime Minister Sanjagiin Bayar was inside the building.
Police repeatedly fired what appeared to be rubber bullets into and above the crowd gathering in the capital. There were no reports of casualties. The Democratic Party, has accused the ruling MPRP of stealing Sunday's vote. The MPRP, a former communist party, says it won 45 seats in the 76-seat Great Hural while the Democrats have reportedly won 21 seats. The General Election Committee has not yet made a formal announcement on the ballot.
