Defending champion Venus Williams remains on course for a fifth Wimbledon title after beating Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn to reach the semi-finals.
The American, 28, was not at her absolute best but still had too much for Grand Slam quarter-final debutant Tanasugarn, winning 6-4 6-3.
Williams will play Elena Dementieva or Nadia Petrova in the last four.
