Jalili's comments came in a telephone call to EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, who has fronted talks with Tehran on behalf of Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United States. The two agreed to hold further discussions later this month according to Iranian state radio. Although the wording of the response has not yet been made public, analysts and diplomats say they detect a softer tone from Iran towards the nuclear incentives offer.
