In Formula One motor racing, home favourite Lewis Hamilton has won his first British Grand Prix.
The Mclaren driver finished over a minute ahead of Nick Heidfeld's BMW Sauber team on a rain soaked track. Honda's Rubens Barrichello came third. In the overall championship, Hamilton is now sharing the lead on 48 points with Ferrari's Felipe Massa, who finioshed 13th in Sunday's race.
