Rice and her Czech counterpart Karel Schwarzenberg will the treaty on the construction of the radar base, a part of the U.S.
anti-missile system, on Czech soil in the Cerninsky palace. A base for ten interceptor missiles within the missile shield is to be stationed in Poland, but Warsaw has not completed its talks on the project with the USA. The radar treaty is yet to be signed by the Czech parliament, in which the coalition government headed by Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek commands a very fragile majority. Most of the Czech public is opposed to the project.
