The leaders of the world's Group of Eight industrialised nations have condemned Zimbawe's recent presidential election.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said G8 leaders, meeting in Japan, agreed to a statement involving fresh measures against Robert Mugabe's regime. Earlier, G8 leaders released a communiqué which backed halving climate changing emissions by the middle of the century, but did not list any numerical targets.
