The former chief financial officer of Airbus has been summoned to Paris for questioning in the corruption probe against EADS.
A company spokesperson said Andreas Sperl, current head of the EADS plant in Dresden, was expected to be interviewed on Wednesday in the investigation into insider trading at EADS. Sperl says he acted in full accordance with the law and that the investigation would vindicate him. French stock exchange investigators suspect Sperl and and 16 other people of using insider knowledge in share transactions. They say Sperl made huge gains on share sales in 2005 and 2006, based on his internal financial knowledge of Airbus.
