Rice's aircraft took off the Prague-Ruzyne airport shortly after eight a.m. The treaty will take effect if it is approved by the Czech adding parliament and signed by President Vaclav Klaus. The United States wants to build the radar base at the Brdy military district, some 90km southwest of Prague, and a base for ten interceptor missiles in Poland within its missile shield.
