Both the ZANU-PF and opposition Movement for Democratic Change have been tight lipped about the nature of the meeting. The two sides have not talked to each other since President Robert Mugabe claimed victory in last month's widely condemned run-off election. MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai pulled out of the poll citing violence against his supporters. A vote on sanctions against Mugabe's regime is expected at the United Nations Security Council later on Thursday.
