Georgia has recalled its ambassador from Moscow after Russia said it had sent fighter jets into its neighbour's airspace.
The recall happened just hours after US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, for talks with President Mikheil Saakashvili. Moscow said the it sent the fighter sorties over the Georgian territory of South Ossetia to prevent a Georgian attack on separatists there.
