The head of the World Bank, Robert Zoellick, says food prices will remain high until 2012.
Speaking at a World Bank event in the Dutch capital Amsterdam, Zoellick added that energy prices would also remain high and volatile. Zoellick estimates that poor countries will need some 6 billion US dollars in food aid every year to cope with rising prices.
