At least 20 killed in Mogadishu fighting ... as it was heading towards the volatile town of Hangu, 40 km west of the garrison town of Kohat. Three militants were said to have been killed as the soldiers returned fire. Local Islamist extremist Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack. Violence in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Povince and neighbouring tribal region has flared since the new government intensified efforts to prevent the Taliban from extending their influence to major towns like Peshawar.
