Officials in Afghanistan report that 24 people have been killed by a suicide bomber in the south of the country.

First German Quick Reaction Troops Head to Afghanistan ... The attack took place in Afghanistan's southern province of Uruzgan. More than forty people were also wounded. Meanwhile, the US-led coalition says Afghan and coalition security forces have killed at least 40 militants during a two-day battle in southern Afghanistan.
