The police suspect Kula and his former deputy Zdenek Kreuzzieger of having stripped the state of almost 20 million crowns in connection with an order for mobile telephone jammers in prisons. Valsamisova said the start of the criminal proceedings was not sufficiently justified, and that the case is now returning to the anti-corruption police for further investigation. Justice Minister Jiri Pospisil suspended Kula last Friday on the basis of the police information.
